Area 11

Postby Fishmark » Mon Aug 18, 2014 3:04 pm

I listened to the show Saturday and went and bought the Purple Haze and Ace Hi. I have not fished south sound this year. And when I do fish it my luck is not that good. This morning using the aforementioned lure me and a friend caught three. He has salmon fished less then me. I caught a 13/14 pound king at about 930 (30 min after we started). Half hour later I hooked a nice 20+. I got him in the net but my friend is inexperienced and he didn't lift the net (goodbye). He caught a 19 and 10 pound king and we headed in at 1230. The hootchie worked great. Best day in area 11 I have experienced since started fishing for salmon 8 years ago. I hope to repeat tomorrow. The info from the show got me excited to get out and lure info worked well thanks guys. I would post a pic but don't know how.

Okay got a photo uploaded. That appears to be a large towel but is actually a KING size bedspread. I will try to get a better picture next time.

I was around slag and Owens beach. 85-120 ft of water down between 50 and 80 feet. Using green flashers. Two different one a green and glow and the other green but can't think of name. Went out today and did not even get a bite. I still like the hootchie described above. Maybe next time.
