Given Saturday's tide, how would you fish possession bar for black mouth? Tin shed from morning to noon?

Hey P,
Given that 0815 high tide of 12.7 feet, I would indeed head to the southern central contour of Possession Bar knows as the Tin Shed.
The area you need to focus on is that part of the contour that turns to the north and keep your gear within ten feet of the bottom.
I would suggest flasher gear 42 inch leaders and 3 or 4 inch spoons!
Good luck! rockon

Thanks Nelly,

Will that strategy change any as the day progresses and the tide goes out?

Also, why do they call it Tin Shed?

Yikes, Tin Shed is like 300+ deep, our down riggers only hit around 200 ft. Do we fish up the shelf until we hit 200ft or do we need different gear for that spot?

Hey P,
The Tin Shed is named after the barn roof you can see on the hill overlooking Cultus Bay that you can see from the contour on the bar. If you can see the barn roof that sits in a notch in the trees then you knew, before GPS that is, that you were in the right spot!
Here's a shot of where you should be as the tide starts to ebb. Good Luck!

I am wanting to get on a 21 ft boat, and this is the weather forecast for this weekend:

S wind 15 to 25 kt. Wind waves 2 to 4 ft. A chance of showers in the morning...then showers likely in the afternoon.

Is that safe?

Here's the updated 3pm forecast:
SAT...SE WIND 5 TO 15 KT...BECOMING S 10 TO 20 KT IN THE AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. A CHANCE OF RAIN IN THE MORNING...THEN RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON.

That's the eternal question with a tough forecast but if it's 5-15KT you're good.
When that afternoon puffs up to 20? outahere
