Another Sounder Question....

Postby Jeff Nance » Wed Aug 26, 2015 8:04 am

When trolling with my TR-1 my sounder gets a solid line down the water column when I hold my direction button down for a long period of time, and when I let go, the line goes away, this happens typically when making my loop. Any ideas on what could be causing this?

Hey Jeff,
Try running a separate, larger (10 or 12 gauge) wire to your sounder or to the distribution block that powers your unit.

One of the many, many issues with kicker autopilots are their power demands and the electronic interference they produce.

By isolating your marine electronics/audio system from your "kicker pilot", you'll eliminate most if not all of those issues. cheers
