Tulalip Bubble?

Postby Bobberdoggin » Fri May 29, 2015 8:50 pm

From what I can tell, the Tulalip bubble used to open early May. Is the early may opening another lost fishery or is there something else going on with the run timing?

Hey BD,
The fact is that the Tulalip Tribes are struggling with sagging numbers returing to the Tulalip Bay Collection facility.
Hopefully this run will rebound and we can have this local opportunity once again. cheers

Can you keep wild Chinook at the bubble?

Yup, if you're inside the bubble, you can keep an unclipped chinook. cheers

Nelly,
If you keep an unclipped Nook don't you pretty much have to stay at the bubble? If you happen to motor down to the shipwreck with the unclipped and get checked then wouldn't you have some explaining to do?

You are definitely on the right tray NW.
If you have an unclipped chinook on board, you cannot fish in areas closed to wind chinook retention.
That's a very good question and good luck out there!
