CANON DIGI TROLL 10 ISSUES

I am contemplating trying the Digi Troll 10 down rigger for the bottom lock and ion control features among other things. Bottom line, some of the reviews, posts etc... worry me about its feature to lock the bottom and not cause the down rigger to cycle erratically up or down when loosing and regaining bottom lock.
Can I get an unbiased opinion, feedback etc... of this model and its issues to assist me with my decision? Any comments would be appreciated!!!

Hey Grizz,
I use the Cannon DT10 and love them.
The memory depths, cycle features and bottom track are all indispensable to the way I fish.
Is there a learning curve? Heck yes! Is is worth it? also in my opinion, yes! thumbup

Nelly, do you find you have to run each rigger off its own battery or can they run fine off a "battery selector switch" in the "both" position? If you want to mention a third battery I really don't have room for three batteries.

The word "battery" means a lot of different things so let's agree on a bare minimum of a Group 27 batteries less than three years old.
If that describes your electrical capacity, then you're good to go!
I run three DigiTroll 10's on two Group 31 AGM's and my 15 amp alternator on the Evinrude 15HO putting juice into the system faster that I can take it out! cheers
