I have a quick question as there is not allot of info on deep 6 diver fishing for cohos

I fish out of a 10 foot livingston boat so I use deep six divers.

What would be the best rod and reel for this that you recommend?

What flashers do you recommend and how long should leader be behind flasher for hoochies?

Hey D,
Welcome aboard and diver fishing for coho is a real kick!

I would recommend going to a Luhr Jensen Deep Six with a rotating low drag flasher like a Fish Flash rigged right to the diver.

Daiwa's new DXS rods are perfect for that and a Daiwa Saltist line counter filled with Samurai 70lb braid is the ticket!

Tie a Sampo ball bearing snap swivel to your main line and run a five foot leader to the back of the flasher to a mooching rig topped off with a cut plug herring and you're in the coho business!
