Hit area 9 today for a few hours and pulled a nice one in around Indian point.

Had issues with my Cannons bottom track mode it kept jumping all over the place however it did not do that last time I was out. Very weird not sure what the difference was. I think I need to play with the height of the transducer.

Good luck

Hey JT,
If possible, try moving the Cannon transducer farther away from your depth sounder's 'ducer.

Also, sure the trailing edge of the Cannon 'ducer is lower than the leading edge.

Make sure to hit the transducer's connector to the downrigger with di-electric grease or Corrosion Block (NOT WD-40  )

Cannon's Bottom Track is an awesome function and it kills fish but there are rough water days that the wind drives air into the water column through wave action that cause false readings on the downrigger's built-in digital depthfinder.

On these days I often run the Cannon's manually and once the water lays down, I'm right back to bottom track! cheers

Went out Thursday and went 6 for 10. Someone, namely me was in a hurry and didn't tie the leaders very well. Lost two fish to poor knots. But all were 8-12 pounds plus two 20 inchers. But those weren't part of the 10 strikes.

Have some photos but still trying to figure out how to adjust the size on an iPad. Every time I try to upload them it says the file is to large. Anyone know how?
